Pichler-Krutzler Riesling Loiben 2023 9120060173597

The Loiben region, on the eastern edge of the Wachau, is home to the Ober- and Unterloiben vineyards, which are characterised by gently sloping soils consisting mainly of gravel and sandy sediments. During the night, fresh air from the Menthalgraben valley descends into the Loiben basin, creating unique conditions for the production of wines of exceptional purity and power. The vines, which are between 20 and 35 years old, produce grapes that are harvested by hand in mid-October. The hand-picked grapes are pressed whole and left to macerate on the skins for two hours, then fermented in steel tanks and left to mature on the lees for about five months. The result is the Riesling Loiben 2023, with a beautiful yellow colour with greenish reflections and a bouquet of stone fruits. Balanced, juicy and with a subtle acidity, this wine has great length and a delicious minerality. As from 2019, the winery and all its wines are certified organic
