Pichler-Krutzler Grüner Veltliner Ried Kellerberg 2021

Kellerberg is the paragon for a top single vineyard in the Wachau. Vines are growing on south-east facing terraces made of natural stones with soils of Gneiss and some Loess on the bottom of the slope. A long vegetation period caused by the cool airflow in the nights is inducing a very late harvest. This particular kind of microclimate is responsible for unique wines of refinement and power in their own inimitable way. Often the wines are both smoky-hedonic and delicate-savoury.

The Cru Dürnsteiner Kellerberg is the paragon for a top single vineyard in the Wachau region. Vines are growing on south-eats facing terraces made of natural stones with soils of weathered Gneiss and some layers of Loess on the bottom of the slope. A long vegetation period caused by the cool airflow in the nights is inducing a very late harvest. This particular kind of microclimate is responsible for unique wines combining refinement and power in their own inimitable way. Often the wines are at once smoky-hedonic and delicate-savoury.

Classic green-yellow, complex nose, slowly opening, shows lots of layers, smoky and spicy, juicy and savoury, concentrated and persistent.
