Pichler-Krutzler Riesling Pfaffenberg "Luise Ihrer" BIO 2023 9120060173627

High above the Danube on the famous Steiner Pfaffenberg, the vines for this wine grow. The soils are barren and consist of crystalline primordial rock at the western end of the location bordering the Wachau, dominatingly of hard Gföhler gneis - as if created for the Riesling grape variety. Exclusively by hand and since 2017 biologically processed, all the attributes of a characterful and subtle wine can be found in the glass: transparent, highly elegant without any heaviness or fullness.

Produced by Luise Krutzler, this is her 3rd vintage of this wine she's produced. Funky is the best descriptor. We're so proud to have this wine in our collection.

Attractive green-yellow, fine, dark fruity Riesling nose, puristic and dry on the palate, fine and long lasting. One of the driest Rieslings being produced.
