Slightly higher and wind protected the site opens to the south. 20.000 years ago – during the last glacier period – mammoth and reindeer hunters used it as a settling place. The soil consists of pure loess as well as remains of bones from the Stone Age period The 2017 Kammern Ried Grub “1ÖTW” is super ripe and intense on the nose but still precise and elegant. Round, lush and salty-piquant on the palate, with lots of ripe pear and mirabelle flavors, this is an elegant and charming, really fine and balanced Grub Veltliner.
