This is our youngest, freshest and most original wine. It is made from the same plots which have been specifically selected throughout the years for their freshness, floral character and silky tannins.

VINEYARD: Selection of plots of Tempranillo vines between 15 and 20 years old are used. These vineyards are situated throughout the moorlands of Manzanillo, Moradillo, Fuentenebro and Torre de Peñafiel, one of the highest points of the Ribera del Duero region, with an altitude of nearly 1000 meters. Up there, the long warm days and chilly nights bring out the destiguishing aromatic qualities of the grape. With yields that never exceed 4500 kg / ha, apt ripeness and exceptional balance are always achieved.

ELABORATION: The plots are harvested manually at their point of optimum ripeness after conducting a series of strict control analyses and field-testing; it is at that moment when the grape expresses its best qualities. The grapes are hand-selected upon entering the winery leaving only the bunches which exhibit excellent health and maturity. After destemming, the winemaking process begins using gravity-flow methods avoiding the use of aggressive pumping which ultimately hurts the grape. Fermentation occurs at low temperatures to enhance the freshness and extract the silkier tannins. Total maceration lasts around 20 days.

AGING: 12 months in 500 L barrels, 100 % French, racked every three months.

VINTAGE: The year 2019 had an intense drought and strong frosts during spring. Both in autumn and winter there was very few rains, leaving water reserves especially low in the soil. Spring was warm and dry, and the vineyard sprout earlier than usual. At the end of April, a severe frost caused at least 66% of the grapes of our vineyards to be ruined. With this reduction in production and with the rest of the summer with warm and dry weather, the vineyard cycle was brought forward. The harvest began on September 18th and finished on September 26th, with very small grapes, fantastic concentration and flawless health.
